At Swim Like A Fish, we aim to keep children active, engaged and learning throughout every lesson. Our focus is on developing strong swimming skills while building each child’s confidence, strength, technique and independence in the water.
Our school follows Life Saving Victoria's Swim and Survive Program which allows children to progress at a pace suited to their individual ability and confidence. The program teaches technical swimming skills while having a focus on essential water safety and survival skills, helping children become capable swimmers while developing the knowledge and confidence to stay safer in and around water.
Students are assessed by their teachers each term, with class levels adjusted where required to support their continued progress. At the end of each semester, students receive a certificate recognising their achievements and providing a visual representation of their development.
Classes run for 30 minutes with a maximum of four children per class. Students are grouped according to their previous swimming skills, experience and ability, allowing teachers to plan lessons around the overall level of the group while still providing individual attention and focusing on each child’s areas for development.
We offer competitive lesson pricing, including family discounts for families with two or more siblings swimming with us. We also understand that life can be busy, which is why catch-up lessons are available for missed classes when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided. Catch-up lessons must be completed within the same term as the absence.
